My boss teaches a class on the history of medicine, and wanted to do a class session on materials in the historical collection of the HSL. Lara Handler and Barbara Tysinger took the time to put together a crisp, informative presentation for the students. Very professionally done. They clearly illustrated a number of useful resources available through the library, guides I’m sure are overlooked by the casual user. They also brought several interesting items and exhibits from the historical collection to give the students an eyeful of the interesting things hidden away in the depths of the HSL. Overall, the presentation was both enjoyable and educational, and I appreciate the work Lara and Barbara put into it.
